Wireframes, in my view, are the cornerstone in the user experience design since it allows to detect the issues on early stages. Clickable or linked wireframes make easy to test user experience and change it if/where needed. Meaning that they may save a vast amount of time fixing these errors on the visual design draft. Not to mention the financial benefit of these ones because to design a low-fidelity prototype is much easier and faster than in traditional web and mobile design software (Adobe Photoshop for instance), thus, the cost of the wireframe is lower than for visual design without ones.
